The Shields houses sit on a 3.5 acre plot at the southern tip of Higgins Lake. Each of the three houses are lakefront cabins, with their own dock, deck and fire pit. A forest of oak, maple and pine trees divides the houses from the main road, ensuring a tranquil, private experience.

The Big House was built in 1937, followed by Kip’s House and John’s House in years after. We are fortunate to have kept the property in our family and we welcome you and your family to enjoy them as we have for nearly 100 years.

From our beach, the lake has a sandy bottom one hundred yards out to the deep end.
